SPICK AND SPAN is a theatrical production based on the employees of the ‘graveyard shift’. As we lay our heads down to sleep every evening, others are working. While most of us are unaware, many of us do take it for granted.
This was never more evident than during the ever-evolving restrictions of COVID-19. While most of the population were advised to stay home, some still journeyed to work to keep the office clean and functioning. Just how much we rely on those we never see or hear of is still undervalued and underrated.
The characters within this play are humble, honest, hardworking, and hilarious. They will take you on a journey of their working lives from the setting of a seventy-three-story building in a busy city.
SPICK AND SPAN is a play within a musical. The approach is Brechtian while embodying the flair of a Musical with songs carrying or emphasizing a point of view from a characters mindset. Drifting in and out of reality, going up and down multiple floors, all in the cloak of darkness (6:00pm – 5:00am) presenting to the audience a unique, entertaining, fun yet poignant production that we hope stays with you.
With a highly eclectic soundtrack, dynamic movement pieces with immersive projection design and caricature characters, SPICK AND SPAN is a Musical Comedy piece not to be missed.
